Best tour of Italy you will ever find. Drake and his crew do an exceptional job at making sure each person in the small tour has a great experience and you get to see places most people never get to see because they have been doing this for 20+ years. Can’t recommend them enough (PS - I took these photos with my phone and I’m not a photographer)

My first time in Italy.. great introduction, beautiful scenery, incredible food and wonderful photo opportunities.

Drake and his wonderful team made this one of the best trips I’ve ever been on! Drake is not only an incredibly talented photographer but he is genuinely nice and a lot of fun to be around. He took time each day to give his valuable photography tips not only to the group but also to each person individually as requested. I would have never found the picturesque locations he took us to on my own. Each place was as beautiful and inspiring as the last. Oh and the food… I don’t think I’ve ever eaten so much or so well in my life! You don’t need to be a great photographer to appreciate this trip but you will become a better photographer after spending a week with Drake. Thank you for this wonderful experience, can’t wait for the next trip! ADDED: I just returned from my SECOND wonderful trip with Drake! Italy Workshops with Drake Busath are some of the best trips I have been on. Drake is an incredibly talented and helpful photo instructor that takes you to the most photogenic spots in Italy. The Portofino Coast & Cinque Terre are beautiful picturesque areas of Italy. Drake showed us areas we would never find on our own. He knew all the best restaurants, I’ve never eaten so well, so much! Our base hotel in Camogli was one of the nicest hotels at which I have ever stayed. (Attached to this review is a picture of the STUNNING view from my room.) Our fun group was made up of different photographic skill levels but Drake has a knack for bouncing from one to the other offering advice on how to improve their images helping with camera settings, compositions, everything needed to come home with great pictures. It would be hard to not end up a better photographer. This was my second photo trip with Drake, there will definitely be a third!

I've attended two photography-related workshops with Drake and Randy and I have been delighted both with the experiences and the rich opportunities for image making. These guys get you to some delightful locations on time to catch the best light. Also, they are hugely helpful with any questions.

The May, 2022 Tuscany Tour was my 3rd photography workshop with Drake Busath and Italy Workshops. Drake is a gifted, humble photographer and teacher . Each trip has had its’s personal unique touch that you won’t find elsewhere. We enjoyed Prosecco on a private family terrace overlooking Siena, and dinner in a private wine room. With every trip, I have the opportunity to learn and improve how to capture the light. The itineraries are well planned but flexible. This trip, Gabriele, our local Italian guide helped us to be able to capture candid shots of people in the small villages and towns we toured. On each tour, many are repeat clients, which also speaks highly of Italy Workshops. I can’t wait to plan for my next one!

I have been on three of Drake’s photography workshops and will definitely do more. He and his crew are incredibly fun, experienced, easy-going, informative, and love what they do. Each time I acquire more photography skills, make new friends from around the world, see places I would never know to see, all the while learning, laughing and eating our way through Italy. I’ve been on other photography workshops with other professional photographers and Drake’s workshops are by far my favorite!!

Wow! Another successful trip with Drake, Gabriele, and, as an extra added attraction, Mauro Riva! You got us to places we would have never found on our own as solo travelers, provided the best accomodations, set up great group meals, and introduced us to people you have known for years. Every aspect of the trip was great! Morning shoots in Tuscany were very special to Margaret and me. And then there's you, Drake. A photographer from whom we have learned a great deal. We both got out of our comfort zones and tried new things, some more successful than others, but that doesn't matter. I think it's your natural empathy for your fellow travelers that means the most to us. We are looking forward already to an Amalfi trip sometime in 2023. Thanks again for everything Drake.

September 2019 I joined the Dolomites tour of Drake Busath's Italy Workshops, together with my mom. Despite I'm Dutch, I didn't know Europe has such beautiful spots!!! When I say it's a real 'pearl of the world', I'm absolutely not exaggerating. Drake knows how to put variety in the program, that is also hosted by the Italian Mauro Riva. You won't only see mountains: villages, lakes and churches on breathtaking Disney-like spots are kind of 'habit of the day'... It's all included and you will get spoiled by it ;-). Together with fabulous food, very good workshopsupport by a large crew and amazingly kind participants this week has been unforgettable, for me and my mother. Oh and... It doesn't matter from which country you are, as long as you speak a bit of English (or Italian), you will be fine!!! Hopefully we will meet again!
